On event days, a door on the ground floor of the house opens onto something we love sharing: our little ceramic market. It is small, it is informal, and it only appears when Casa Mayolica opens its doors to the public — during open houses, festivals, presentations and other special occasions.
A tiny market with a very Manises soul
Manises has been making ceramics for over seven centuries, and our house was home to master potters. When we open for an event, we like to let some of that craft circulate: pieces made here in Manises, pieces we have collected over the years, and pieces that simply deserve a second life.
Made by our neighbours: alongside the house’s own pieces, local ceramists and artists showcase their products in the market — potters and creators from Manises and around who bring their work when the market opens. Every purchase goes straight to the hands that made it.
What you will find
- Typical Manises ceramic pieces at convenient prices — tiles, plates, figurines and decorative objects in the city’s signature style
- Second-hand ceramics with a story: vintage pieces and small treasures looking for a new home
- Plenty of occasions — one-off pieces, small imperfections and bargains for collectors and curious visitors alike
When does it open?
The little ceramic market is not a permanent shop: it usually opens together with the house museum, during our public events — open houses, festivals, presentations and other special occasions. It does not usually open during private events. The easiest way to catch it open is to come to one of our public events — or keep an eye on our Instagram, where we announce every opening.
You can also expect it around Christmas and Los Reyes (Three Kings), when Manises fills with gift hunters. And outside those dates, the market can be opened on request: write to us and, whenever possible, we will arrange a time for you to visit.
